ALMEMO CONNECTION SYSTEM
Model MA2890-9 is a full-featured datalogger with 9 input channels and 100,000 measurement memory (512 kB), expandable to 6.4 million measured values using SmartMedia® cards. Each logged measurement is time & date stamped, and can also have a 6-digit I.D. tag attached. A thumbwheel and 5 buttons manage all programming and device functions. A large, easy-to-read backlit LCD dot matrix display (128x128) allows for display of multiple measured values simultaneously or graphical displays of measured values. The MA2890-9 comes in a protective brief-case style carrying case.
Analog and RS232 outputs and available software programs make it easy to recall and analyze logged data and import to other software programs. If more than 9 input channels are required, several loggers may be connected together via RS242 or RS422 network connection.
The MA2890-9 uses the patented ALMEMO connection system, whereby sensor-specific parameters are stored in non-volatile memory in the sensor's connection plug. This allows the user to make zero or span calibrations via digital interface directly from the datalogger, and the changes are stored automatically in the sensor's plug and remain with the sensor!
A wide variety of factory-made sensors are available, including those to measure pressure, liquid and air flow, temperature, light intensity, pH, conductivity, gas concentration (CO2, O2, and CO), humidity, rotational speed, linear displacement, etc.. Also, inexpensive ALMEMO connection plugs are available for connecting devices with electrical outputs to the logger. With these "blank" plugs, virtually any sensor may be connected to the logger and programmed to display in correct engineering units and scaling factor, making the MA2890-9 a Universal Portable Datalogger!
