DESCRIPTION

Series A portable handheld laser distance meters are the ultimate selection for distance measurement. They allow safe, single handed measurements up to 200 meters (650 ft) with millimeter accuracy. More accurate than ultrasonic devices and much more convenient than a tape measure, series A is offered in a number of model choices depending on features required.

These ergonomic units are offered for indoor and outdoor applications. Features include:

Model A2-The Handy One
For indoor applications this compact and handy 
base model was specifically designed for indoor 
applications. Shortcut keys for addition, subtraction, 
area and volume calculation make measuring fast and 
very reliable. As with all model A laser distance meters, 
the laser dot is clearly visible.  You can always see 
your targeting point, even if the target object is in a 
hard to access area. Precise  measuring: fast and easy
 —fits into every pocket!

Model A3-The Robust One
The indoor specialist with outdoor aspirations. 
Robustness and easy handling are the defining 
characteristics of this instrument. In addition 
to the well-known shortcut keys, are the 
minimum and maximum measurement functions, 
which enable horizontal and diagonal measurements, 
e.g. in corners. The built in Power Range Technology™ 
permits making measurements of up to 80 m without 
target plates. This makes The Robust One outdoor 
capable.  To keep you from forgetting your measured 
values, there is also a memory function.

Model A5-The Versatile One
Model A5 model stands out, thanks to both to its 
ergonomic design and the soft rubber grip that 
allows it to sit well in the hand. With the 
unique end-piece, wide range of additional 
functions and integrated viewfinder, you are 
fully equipped to tackle any measuring task. 
The most common calculating functions are 
quickly and easily accessed via the 
corresponding shortcut keys.
 
Model A6-The Data Transfer One
With Bluetooth enabled model A6 you are 
equipped to meet the demands of any situation.  
Measuring does not end with displaying the 
measured values on the A6, the data can be 
electronically transferred to a Pocket PC, 
Laptop or Clark Datalogger for immediate 
processing. Included in the scope of delivery 
is the software DISTO™ transfer. It transfers 
your measured data to Excel®,Word®, AutoCAD® 
or to other programs.

Why are laser distance meters better than ultrasonics?





	
These meters measure with laser — exactly and 
over hard to reach areas.  Ultra sonics measure with 
sound waves, which  spread out conically and give only 
an indicative result as opposed at an accurate measurement.  
Sonics are affected by objects that appear within the 
measurement cone and do not operate well outdoors. Normal 
measurement range of an ultrasonic instrument is 20 m 
while a Model A series measures up to 200 m with high accuracy.

	





Is the laser beam harmful?

No. Our instruments are laser class II. Under normal circumstances your eyes are 
protected by aversion responses such as the blink reflex.


What is the warranty for my Model A Series?

A warranty of 24 months from date of purchase. Should you  have a warranty related 
problem with your instrument during this time, please contact us and we will exchange it.

What advantage does the Power Range technology™ bring?





	
Simple: while other instruments may measure up to 20 m or at best up to 40 m, 
the Power Range Technology™ lets you easily measure up to twice the distance.

	






When do I need the Pythagorean function?

Whenever distances cannot be measured directly, e.g. if a target point is 
missing such as with a flat roof.







	
Measure distances in seconds and immediately process them on a Pocket PC , Laptop or Clark Datalogger.

	




	
Indirect height-measurement: determine facade heights using the Pythagoras function.
