DESCRIPTION
The Vorsite 2000 Flow Indicator/Controller combines simple operation, exceptional functionality and cost-efficiency into one unit. It accepts input from four vortex sensors without the need for signal amplification or special cabling. Four flow and flow totals, alarms, and analog outputs are provided. A clever six point averaging equation provides the vortex sensor with 1% accuracy of rate. The Vorsite 2000 Flow Indicator/Controller also accepts input from other flow meters, such as simple paddle wheels, allowing the user to standardize on one display meter. The half DIN size unit is also complementary to other instruments for measuring pH/ORP, conductivity and resistivity.
Clearly identified English menus make set-up and operation simple and straightforward. The front panel has a 16-character dot-matrix display that is back-lit for easy viewing. Display is in English units (gallons) or metric units (liters, cubic meters, etc.), providing simple interpretation of the data read-out. Security code lock-out features can be utilized to prevent changes to the menus and settings. All settings and total flows are maintained in non-volatile memory, without batteries, for preservation during power outages.
Menu-driven software is simple to operate using the clearly marked keypad. Measurement settings, setpoints, relays, outputs, and calibrations are all individually indicated on the keypad. Utilizing the arrow keys, the program walks the operator through the steps of set-up with clear instructions. Other menu functions include the selection of measurement averaging, sensor constants, display format and diagnostic operations.

Setpoints/Alarms: 8 Independent setpoints can be set as high or
low limits and can be configured to operate any of the 4 relays.
Relays: Standard 2 SPDT, 5 amp at 250 Vac or 30 Vdc, resistive load.
Optional: Additional 2 SPST solid state 1.5 Amp at 250 Vac only
resistive load, 10 mA minimum. All relays have individually
adjustable delay and hysteresis (deadband).
Analog Outputs: Optional: two powered 0/4-20 mA circuits
available. 500 Ohm load maximum, fully scalable to any flow,
totalized flow, or percent recovery range. Isolated from input
and from ground. Each circuit may be multiplexed (time-shared)
between the pair of analog outputs for a total of 4 measurement
outputs.
Serial Output: RS-232, maximum distance of 50 feet (15m); RS-422,
maximum distance of 4000 feet (1220m); field selectable baud
rate up to 19.2 K. All outputs updated every 2.5 seconds.
