Full Time Book-keeper (July 2021)

Primary Position Requirements:

Book-keeper: “Full Time” or “Part Time” Position

Our Sales Team is looking for an experienced self-motivated full time or part time book-keeper to support our group.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Work with General Ledger and associated accounting modules: GL, AP, AR, IN, OM
  • Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner and apply any reasonable discounts
  • Pay any debt as it comes due
  • Issue credit memos to customers
  • Collect sales taxes from customers and remit them to the respective government agency
  • Determine credit worthiness of customers and set customer credit limits
  • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
  • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
  • Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
  • Maintain the petty cash fund
  • Issue financial statements
  • Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
  • Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
  • Process payroll in a timely manner
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Follow accounting policies and procedures

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work with the Sales Team to Establish Customer Credit
  • Assist Administrative Team with Phone Answering

Qualifications:

The bookkeeper candidate should have an Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as a knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) accounting software package. Candidate should have excellent communication skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general on-line banking tasks. Should be very detail oriented.

Compensation:

TThe full time position offers Salary, pro-rated benefits package, and bonus opportunity. The pro-rated benefits package could include medical insurance as offered by the company, vacation time, sick/personal time, holidays, and a company qualified profit sharing plan.

Technical Sales Representative / Full Time Position

Inside and Outside Sales

Primary Position Requirements:

Technical Sales Representative: “Full Time” Position with Inside and Outside Sales Opportunities

  • Responsibilities include working to support existing account retention, and follow up on proactive sales.
  • Assist the sales team in growing annual sales with existing customers, and the generation of new opportunities, and market areas.
  • Work with an established sales team and various manufacturing groups on product applications for both existing and future customers.
  • Willing to develop a continually evolving, working knowledge in technical component sales.
  • Working in a small office environment, the candidate must be highly motivated, sale oriented, and posse strong communication skills.
  • Possess a working technical background including strong math skills, an interest in physics, related physical sciences, or an interest in mechanical or applied engineering sciences.
  • A college degree would be beneficial with 2-4 years’ experience in industrial sales, but not required. Importance is placed on a strong technical/mechanical working background and the ability to work technical applications.

Additional Considerations:

Capable of performing and showing an expressed interest in the following related duties and possessing the following qualifications:  

  • Selling of small pumps, specialized valves and instrumentation components at all levels in a customer/target organization. Showing interest in developing new business, building repeat customers, and managing existing relationships built by the sales team.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills. Ability to establish and create relationships at all levels with customers and prospect organizations.
  • Has appropriate proficiency with computers and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (Solomon) and Goldmine CRM are beneficial.
  • An ability to communicate with Sales Team and meet general office administrative needs.

 

Compensation:

This full time position offers a base salary and bonus opportunity. Excellent benefits package includes medical insurance, vacation, sick/personal time, holidays, and a company qualified profit sharing plan.
Compensation is negotiable for this position depending on the experience of the candidate
